Bash Plate
/This is a boring post. Just a simple bash plate bolted on with 3 screws. The only bit of valuable information that you can get here is that the bottom of the bike has three pre threaded screw holes just waiting for a base plate. So nothing needs to be unscrewed to install this.
I went with the R&G bash plate on recommendation from a buddy. It's a low cost thin plate. I'm not really taking this off road often. If anything just the occasional dirt path while camping. For $100 it made sense to have as it seems like a vonerable spot. This plate needs to removed every oil change but it's super easy to do.
If you are planning to hit more complex off road trails I would recommend something that has more area coverage. I've head that the Blackdog Skid Plate is great for hard core usage.
What is Wheels in the Field? Sure you’ll see some of that here. This is mostly a personal story of our weekend there which you may or may not enjoy!
