First 11 months on this bike. Not bad for my 2nd year of riding. I think I sold my G650GS with around 8500 miles. So I'm creeping on 20k miles. I took a ride out with my wife, first ride of the season with her, and hit the 10K with her on it. It felt so good to have her on the back. Some more photos after the jump.
Read MoreI decided to do this service myself. It's my first oil change ever, and on a motorcycle as well. I also wanted to adjust the chain as it was sagging a bit. I only adjusted a chain once before, and that was on a rented vstrom on the side of the road somewhere in Colorado. The concept is the same across all chain driven bikes. After watching a few youtube videos, ordering some parts from amazon, and picking up some tools from auto zone and home depot, I was able to complete both, making me feel more connected to my bike.

Testing the suction cup mounts that come with the sena prism. they are mounted to my left vario case on my bmw F700GS. this was taken in NYC, on the FDR, and on the Brooklyn Bridge.

SENA announced a great looking camera a while back, and I've been anxiously awaiting its release ever since. It was finally released a few weeks back, i quickly put my Sony action cam on ebay, and the second it sold I went to order the SENA PRISM. I'm not going to do a full review here, after all I've barely had it a day. But i will give my initial impression along with some photos and video.
Read MoreI'm not bright enough on the road. Its becoming more obvious to me this winter as its dark out early, and because my friend Yoshi has an R1200GSA with LED headlight and aux lights, he's bright as hell on the road and i want that. It feels like a safety issue.
Read Morei had a bunch of scuffs from lane splitting in stopped traffic. random yellow marks from NYC cabs, and little white scuffs from the random toyota. I'm pretty sure no german cars were hurt :) i figured out how to remove them today, and clean the cases.
